My story, purpose & philosophy

I support noticeable shifts in thinking and nervous system health, helping people navigate overwhelming life circumstances by looking inward. Over time, this supports stronger relationships with both self and others. I understand how challenging healing and being vulnerable can be. I show up with clarity and compassion, not a clipboard and a blank stare.

I hold a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and a Master of Counselling from Gonzaga University and am a  Canadian Certified Counsellor (#12763)  with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.  I bring over 15 years of experience supporting individuals impacted by addiction, grief, traumatic experiences, and major life transitions. Through my work, I’ve learned that wellbeing is shaped by many interconnected aspects of a person and their environment. In therapy, we explore emotional, mental, physical, and creative dimensions.

If requested, spiritual or values-based aspects can be included in our work to support balance and progress.  I have come to see and believe that healing isn’t intellectual. It’s embodied, messy, brave, and deeply human.

Meaningful change often begins with discomfort.  My role in therapy is to help you make sense of what you are experiencing and work through it with intention and support.   We’ll explore patterns, challenge old ways of being, and develop new perspectives and behaviours that support a more regulated nervous system.

My approach helps you move beyond survival and toward a life that feels sustainable and fulfilling.

Therapy is grounded in safety, clarity and collaboration, and each session includes a clear action goal to support growth between sessions.

I believe in supporting the whole person through an integrated, relational approach that honors the complexity of healing. Rather than focusing on a single method, I support clients by helping them build awareness of what brings regulation, meaning and a sense of steadiness into their own lives - especially when moving forward feels overwhelming.

Creativity and nature keep me grounded.  My own healing journey led me to a firm belief in post traumatic growth and the importance of integrating aspects of wellness professions and the role of supportive community.

I became a floral designer as a creative outlet and an extension of this philosophy.  This expanded my work beyond the therapy room through floral design and facilitated events. I have experienced and witnessed how creative expression is a valuable asset towards wellbeing. I draw on time in nature, yoga, and a range of somatic practices to support nervous system awareness and embodied regulation.

Who I Support:

I work with individuals and couples when life feels disrupted and the future feels uncertain, including grief and loss, addiction recovery, and significant life transitions.  I also support couples who want to reconnect.  My approach centers on creating a safe, grounded space where self compassion and practical strategies support stability, resilience and growth.
